Evangelist. Must have a “brassy” personality, a strong belt, great comic timing and Tap! Singing and dance auditions required.
Billy Crocker
(20 - 35 yrs) A quick-witted young businessman who is always on the go and hopelessly
in love. Must have great comic timing, some dance ability and a lyrical voice. Singing and dance auditions required.
Hope Harcourt
(18 - 35 yrs) The young debutant who is engaged to the wrong man. A strong legitimate
soprano, some dance ability, sweet personality. Singing and dance auditions required.
Sir Evelyn Oakleigh
(20 – 50 yrs) A “prissy” English Gentleman. Proper on the outside but a Tiger inside! Eccentric comic timing and character singing. Singing audition
required, dance audition optional.
Moonface Martin
(20 – 60 yrs) A comic gangster disguised as a preacher! Lots of physical comedy. Featured comic singing. Must have high energy!

– 40 yrs) A comic gun moll traveling with Moonface. Must be perky, have
a fun comic voice, strong singing belt and fantastic tapper! Singing and dance

Mrs. Wadsworth
T Harcourt (40 – 70 yrs) Hope’s mother and a silly snob.
She is often confused yet a force to be reckoned with. Mostly speaking role, some singing.

Elisha J. Whitney
(40 – 70 yrs) Billy’s Wall-street boss. Has a strong comic desire to drink (i.e. silly Lush). Mostly
speaking role. Some featured singing. Singing audition required.
The Angels (Chastity,Purity,Virtue,Charity) (17 – 40) Reno’s traveling back-up singers and showgirls!
Will be singing Andrew Sister style backup and be featured in key dance numbers. Must have a strong voice, great personality
and be an excellent tapper! Singing and dance auditions required.
The Sailor Quartet
(17 – 40) A strong singing quartet featured vocally throughout the show. Looking for four strong voices that look good together and move well. Singing and
dance auditions required.
Captain
(20 – 60 yrs) The firm captain of the “S.S. American”. Mostly a speaking role, can also be member of singing chorus. Singing audition recommended.
Steward
(20 – 40 yrs) The hard working often confused Steward of the “S.S.
American”. Mostly a speaking role, can also be member of singing chorus.

Bishop Henry T.
Dodson (30 – 60 yrs) A well respected missionary. Very full
of himself. Mostly a speaking role, may also be member of the singing ensemble.
Singing audition recommended.
Ching and Ling
(17 – 40 yrs) Two Chinese Christian converts. Silly comic speaking roles. May also be members of the singing ensemble. Singing audition recommended.
Dance Ensemble
(teen – 35) We are looking for 12 to 24 strong tap dancers who look and
dance well together. This group will be prominently featured throughout the show
and will learn the most challenging choreography. Lots of costume changes! Dance audition required, singing audition optional.
Singing Ensemble
(teen – senior) We are looking for 24 to 40 strong singers who will also
play many featured character parts throughout the show. Needed types include:
passengers, reporters, cameramen, sailors, businessmen, society men and women, and policemen.
This group will be used onstage in many full company numbers and group scenes on the boat. Many songs require a big choral sound so we need lots of voices. Singing audition required.
Crew Volunteers (teen – senior) In addition to
a large cast we need many volunteers to sew, paint, construct scenery, hang lights and be on the run-crew. Run-crew for “Anything Goes” will require many volunteers to help with multiple quick costume
changes and other backstage duties. Run-crew will be needed August 5-20 and must
be able to attend all performances and rehearsals during those dates. Volunteers
may sign up during auditions. Run-crew is a great way to get involved and be a part of this fantastic show!
